History

Trans Am #4 was campaigned as both Car 4 and 14 during the 1988 season. It was Rohl's primary car but was driven at several venues by H.J. Stuck. See images at bottom.

In 1989 it was sold by Audi Sport Germany to Audi Sport South Africa. The car was continuously developed for three more years, eventually running on 18 inch wheels and developing 630 HP. The car was campaigned by Sarel Van Der Merwe with Audi colors to championships in 1989 & 1990.

In 1991 the cars switched to Minolta colors and was driven by Terry Moss to that season's championship. We purchased the vehicle in 1997 from Larry Willford of Johannesburg, South Africa who continued to campaign the car in the Wesbank series as a privateer when the factory team went to the S4 GTO.
